Then why a photographer is SO important?

We used to ask this ourselves until the day we were helping an old neighbor and friend to move from the home the had lived for over half century with his wife to a tiny motorhome after his wife passed away.

It was such a touching moment to see everything (stuff he accumulate throughout his entire life) being decided if it would go to donation or trash… At one point he wasn’t even thinking anymore and got into a robotic sate of mind trying hard to let go the deep emotional connection with so many objects… until I grabbed a box his office.

He stoped everything and a slow-motion movement got the box out of my hands and hugged it against his chest and started to cry. 

Seeing our 70+ young Jay holding this box and crying I immediately knew: it was his photography box! “This will be with me wherever I go… No matter how small the motorhome is.”

Photographs are heirlooms you’ll treasure till you are all and grey… and for generations away.
